Full-time assistant opportunity
Studio Carsten Höller is currently seeking a full-time assistant. Begin in February 2020 or as soon as possible. The studio is located in Vasastan, Stockholm.
An ideal candidate must be detail oriented and self-motivated with exceptional organizational skills. S/he must be a problem solver, flexible and able to work well in a team. S/he must have excellent communication skills and be able to keep track of the overall proceedings of the studio. S/he must work consistently and be able to follow

tasks through independently.

You will be interested in and have good knowledge of modern and contemporary art, with excellent administration, research and project management skills. The ideal candidate will enjoy working collaboratively, have an enthusiasm for making things happen and you will have a ’can do’ attitude.

· Assist the studio with daily tasks, scheduling, drafting invoices, paying invoices, preparatory paper work for book keeping, preparing travel arrangements
· Assist and coordinate exhibitions and loans with international galleries and museums
· Assist and coordinate the production of artworks and exhibitions with a diverse range of international producers
· Research new producers, production materials and procedures
· Assist and coordinate the editing of printed matter, such as books, magazine articles and exhibition invitations
· Assist the drafting of contractual writings
· Prepare texts and work descriptions for internal and external use
· Coordinate and respond to image requests
· Update the archive including the artwork and image databases
· Assist the forthcoming launch of the studio website and keep it updated
· Exceptional organizational skills
· Detail oriented
· Ability to multitask
· Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
· Good working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
· Ability to work well in a fast paced environment
· Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, along with listening skills
· High level of independence, accountability and initiative
· Good writing and word processing skills
· Previous work experience in a gallery, museum or similar as well as an educational background in art or art history are not a must, but an advantage
· Excellent English language skills in speech and writing are a must, various language skills are advantageous
· A valid driver’s license is an advantage

Carsten Höller is a German artist born in Brussels. He lives and works in Stockholm. His work has been shown internationally over the last two decades, including in solo exhibitions at the New Museum, New York, USA (2011); Hamburger Bahnhof Museum für Gegenwart, Berlin, Germany (2011); Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, Rotterdam, the Netherlands (2010); Kunsthaus Bregenz, Austria (2008); MASS MoCA, North
Adams, USA (2006); Musée d’Art Contemporain, Marseille, France (2004); ICA Boston, Massachusetts, USA (2003); and Fondazione Prada, Milan, Italy (2000). Recent group exhibitions include the Echigo-Tsumari Art Trienniale, Niigata, Japan (2012); Invisible: Art about the Unseen, 1957–2012, Hayward Gallery, London, UK (2012); The Promises of the Past, Centre Pompidou, Paris, France (2010); Bienal de São Paulo, Brazil (2008); Theanyspacewhatever, Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York, USA (2008); and Ecstasy: In and About Altered States, Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, California, USA (2005). In 2006, Höller conceived Test Site for Tate Modern, London, UK. In 2005, he represented Sweden (with Miriam Bäckström) at the Venice Biennale, Italy. Between 2012 and 2013, Höller took a sabbatical year.
